In most instances a down payment, equal to the cost of one night’s stay plus the reservation handling fee, will be charged immediately after you complete the booking. Because policies vary by hotel, there are some that require payment in full at the time of booking while others may need just the reservation handling fee with no down payment, please be sure to confirm the online reservation system’s “Usage Agreement” beforehand. The reservation handling fee is always the same: €5.60. Because the money you pay at this point is not a "deposit"; it will not be returned unless you cancel the reservation.
Reservation handling fee: Once you have finalized your booking, even if it is early enough to avoid any cancelation charges, the fee is non-refundable.
Down payment: How much, if any, of this is refundable depends on each hotel's individual policy, so please be sure to check the online reservation system’s “Usage Agreement” ahead of time.
The online reservation system accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Please note that although there are some hotels that accept JCB, you cannot use it on the online reservation system. Of course, for any hotel that does accept JCB, you will be able to use it when paying the balance of your charges at checkout time.
Finalized reservations cannot be changed after the fact. In the event you wish to change your reservation, please cancel it and then proceed to make a brand new booking. On these occasions we cannot guarantee that the travel dates and room type you desire will still be available. The reservation handling fee will not be refunded even if the reservation is canceled. Also, the cancelation conditions will apply, so please be careful. As mentioned above, depending on the hotel it is sometimes possible to alter the dates of your stay by sending an email request. In such cases, the fees indicated on your original reservation confirmation may no longer apply. In addition, all communication for this purpose should be handled directly between the customer and the hotel.
For example, after spending two nights in Paris, let us say you would like to spend a night in Mont Saint-Michel, and then return to the same hotel in Paris for another two nights. In this instance, both the stays at the hotel should be handled as two separate reservations. You will also incur two separate charges of the reservation handling fee.
Shortly after you finalize your booking you will receive a “Confirmation Email”. It is very important that you save this email, print it out, and bring it with you to the hotel. In the event there are difficulties or mistakes, this will serve as proof of your reservation.

Requests for non-smoking rooms, rooms equipped with bathtubs, rooms on upper floors, or any other special requests should be entered into the Comments field in the online reservation system in either English or French. However, please understand that not all requests can be filled.
Cancelations should be done on the online reservation system for each hotel (Click here for cancelation instructions). If you use any other method to cancel your reservation, without confirming it through the system, you will still be charged even if you do not stay at the hotel.
