The Hotel Ares Eiffel is a three star hotel near the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars. It is a chic hotel that underwent a complete renovation in the fall of 2007. The interior, with its fine quality bed linens, bathroom tiles, contemporary furniture, and Bang & Olufsen television, really has a charming sense of high class. All of the rooms are relatively spacious, which is rather rare for a small hotel in Paris, allowing you to have a relaxing and elegant vacation. In addition to the A/C and minibar, the entire building offers free WiFi (wireless internet), and there is even an internet connection that can be used through the TV, so the facilities will make you happy as well.
Rue de Commerce, right around the nearest Metro station, is always lively due to the many cafés and restaurants there. The Monoprix supermarkets and Zara store are also conveniently located nearby. In addition, 3 different Metro lines (6, 8, and 10) run through the La Motte Picquet Grenelle station offering direct access to Paris’s main sightseeing spots such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, the Opera House, Bastille, Saint Germain du Pres, and the Quartier Latin.
While gazing at all of the beautiful Haussmann style buildings you can cross over Champ de Mars, and if you take a relaxing stroll towards Les Invalides you soon come to the Ecole Militaire neighborhood found by Rue Cler, where open-air markets are often held. You’ll also find popular restaurants like Chez l'Ami Jean and Le Violon d'Ingres, as well as the Secco bakery. If you look towards the Eiffel Tower and Seine River from there, you’ll see the new art gallery, Musee du Quai Branly… Elegance and convenience really coexist in this area, fulfilling a great many of your Parisian yearnings.

District : Quartier Latin |
Opened in the Quartier Latin (Latin Quarter) in October of 2006, The Five Hotel is brimming with an originality unlike any other hotel you’ve ever seen. While staying at this hotel you’ll really be able to feel the owner’s sense of playfulness and detail. The "Five" in the name refers to your five senses, all of which you'll want to use in order to fully enjoy your time here.
Each guest room will give you a surprise, whether it’s from the sparkling fiber optic lighting on the walls and in the bathroom, the fringed curtains used to give the bed a canopy, or the bed that looks like it’s floating in the air. Items made by French lacquer artists give the very contemporary interiors some warmth, and help bring together the unity of the traditional and the modern.
Additionally, feel free to choose your favorite scent from the 5 complementary room fragrances provided by the long-standing aroma candle shop, Diptyque. Even the bathroom amenities are charming since they are all, shampoo, body soap, and body lotion included, made by L'Occitane, something that is quite rare. You can enjoy the buffet style breakfast, which includes Mariage Freres tea and Le Boulanger de Monge’s delicious pastries, in the colorful, underground dining area. You’ll be able to walk from the hotel to the Luxembourg Gardens, Rue Mouffetard, and the botanical gardens. You’ll also have direct access to Chatelet and Opera on the Metro’s Line 7 from the two nearest stations: Gobelins and Censier-Daubenton. There are a lot of markets and shops in the surrounding areas, so you’ll have the chance to peek into the normal lives of native Parisians. Oh, and by the way, the Sadaharu Aoki shop is next door to the hotel.

For the person who thinks that the best part of vacations is leaving behind your ordinary, everyday life for a little while, we recommend Hotel Bellchasse, which just opened in the summer of 2007. The fashion world genius Christian Lacroix was in charge of the interior design. The walls and ceilings are done in a continuous, single motif that is 18th century baroque style, and will have you feeling absorbed and unsure if this is reality or a dream. Strangely enough, the classic atmosphere and contemporary furniture make a good match, and bring out a unique ambience. There's even a room with the bathtub right out in the middle of it! That's a design that's perfect for a couple.
The facilities and service are luxurious enough to keep up with the interior design. You’ll find bath amenities and robes from the Paris-born Anne Semonin spas, big screen liquid crystal TVs on which you can watch Japanese television, a mini-bar that's free for one use per day, as well as free WiFi and ADSL internet connections. At the buffet style breakfast, in addition to the high quality breads and danishes, you'll also find a carefully selected delivery of cheeses from the famous cheese shop Androuet, and handmade tarts from the famous salon de the, Les Deux Abeilles. So, you’ll be able to really start your day off happy!
This hotel can boast of a blessed location surrounded by the antique shops, boutiques, and cafes of Paris’s left bank area, and only about a minute on foot from the Orsay Museum and Seine River. If you cross over the Seine River, you’ll be able to walk to the Tuileries Gardens, Concorde Plaza, and the Louvre in less than 10 minutes. The RER C Line, which stops in front of the Orsay Museum, will give you direct access to the Eiffel Tower. Line 12 on the Metro runs through the nearest station at Solférino, and heads to Montparnasse, Saint Germain des Pres, the Bon Marche department store at Sévres Babylone, Concorde Plaza, Madeleine Plaza, Saint Lazare near the shopping district, and Montmartre.

District : L'Arc de Triomphe/Champs Elysées |
The Hotel Acacias Etoile sits across from the Arc de Triomphe on the opposite side from Champs Elysees. Japanese travelers may not be very familiar with it, but for those in the know this little known area is a great spot. The chic and quiet environment, with Haussmann style buildings lined up all around, is the exact image of the "Parisian Dream". The Arc de Triomphe is only one Metro stop away, but since it only takes about 3 minutes to walk there it may actually be faster on foot. Being able to see the beautiful Arc de Triomphe at the beginning of the day, and again after your sightseeing is all finished and you return to your hotel, would be considered an extravagance even by native Parisians.
The nearest station, Argentine Station, is only a few dozen seconds’ walk away. Line 1, which runs through this station, is an extremely convenient route that crosses all of Paris, giving you direct access to the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, Petit Palais (Art Museum), Grand Palais, Concorde Plaza, Tuileries Gardens, the Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral on Ile de la Cite', Châtelet, Paris City Hall, the Mallet District, and Bastille.
But, of course, the location is not this hotel’s only charmig feature. The natural beige and brown colors of the rooms provide an atmosphere that lets you feel at home all the way down to your heart. In addition to the obvious facilities of A/C and a mini-bar in the room, you’ll also get free ADSL internet connection there, and free WiFi (wireless internet) in the lobby. A same day laundry service, voltage adaptor plugs for shavers from various countries, and, depending on room availability, late check-out are even more of the steps this hotel has taken to make you happy.

District : Trocadero/Passy |
The best place to get a view of the symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower, has got to be the Palais de Chaillot in Trocadero. Hotel Longchamp Elysees is a three star hotel that is only a 2-3 minute walk from Trocadero. Since this is something of an exclusive residential district with the embassies of many nations, even Parisians are attracted to the area.
The beige rooms are neat and simple, and perfectly efficient. The necessary facilities, like wireless internet access, a mini-bar, and a safe are all provided.
Speaking of the Palais de Chaillot in Trocadero, there are a lot of museums in the area like the newly reopened (in the Spring of 2007 after a lengthy remodeling process) Architecture Heritage Museum, the Naval Museum, and the Museum of Mankind. Across the Seine River, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, the Bateaux Parisiens cruise boats arrive and depart for their excursions on the Seine. It’s only three stops on the metro to the Arc de Triomphe or the Champs Elysees, but, of course, it’s close enough to walk as well. And two stops away on the Metro is the Musee Marmottan, which features an amazing collection of Monet’s works (a must-see for fans of impressionism). You’ll also have direct access to the department stores on Rue Haussmann, the Opera, and Montparnasse. Just one stop away on the Metro is the Passy neighborhood, which is a little known but great shopping spot that features a lot of famous brands, like the shop where Franck et Fils (well loved by those in the know) got started.

One of the great charms of the Hotel Daunou Opera is how good the location is. Since you can easily walk to the Opera House in Opera Plaza, as well as the department stores behind the Opera House, in just a few minutes, it’s convenient for shopping right up until the stores close. You can even get to the stop on Rue Scribe for the shuttle bus that runs between the Opera House and Charles de Gaulle International Airport on foot!
On Rue de la Paix, which crosses Rue Daunou where the hotel is, stands the shop where the Repetto ballet shoe brand began many years ago. And beyond that street the beautiful Vandome Plaza spreads out before you. If you face away from the Opera House and head down Opera Avenue you will come to the Royal Palace, and finally to the Louvre. If, however, you walk down the souvenir shop-filled Rue de Rivoli you will soon be at the Tuileries Gardens. You can really get to just about anywhere on foot, making this an ideal location.
The area around the Opera House is extremely beautiful, and it's always a very popular spot for Japanese tourists. Crossing Opera Avenue brings you to Rue Saint-Anne, or "Japan Street", which has plenty of shops selling osozai, bento lunches, and other Japanese food, so you’ll be all right even if you get tired of French food. This is also good for anyone who just wants to have a nice, simple meal.
All 50 rooms were remodeled in 2004. There are Twin, Double, and Triple rooms, as well as Duplex (connected) rooms, and all have a bathtub.

There’s a lot of great stuff to say about the Hotel Royal Magda Etoile, but its fantastic location is at the top of the list. It’s only a few minutes walk to Place de l'Etoile (Etoile Plaza), where the Arc de Triomphe rises up. There’s a bus stop for the Air France Shuttle Bus, which runs non-stop to the airport and gets there in about 40 minutes, so it’s a pretty convenient spot.
You’ll have easy access to various places all over Paris since the Metro RER A has three trains running. If you take Metro Line 1, you’ll have direct access, with no transfers, to Champs Elysees’ main street, Tuileries Garden, Place de la Concorde, the Louvre, Paris City Hall, the Mallet district (Saint Paul), Bastille, and the final stop, Château de Vincennes. Line 2 extends into the south of France, and has direct access to the lively areas at the foot of Montmartre, Pigalle and Antwerp. And then Line 6 advances down the left bank of Paris to Trocadero and the chic, exclusive area of Passy. It also heads to Bir-Hakeim station at the Eiffel Tower, and the Montparnasse neighborhood where popular brand-name stores like Andre and H&M are lined up. If you get on the RER A line it will take you, again with no transfers, to Disneyland Resort Paris (you’ll want to visit here at least once!) and the La Vallee Outlet Shopping, where you can get popular brands for about half price. Of course, we also recommend this hotel because of its chic, elegant interior. The inside was just recently remodeled, and is very clean. The simple rooms will provide a space where you can really relax, surrounded by the esprit of Paris. Air-conditioning and free wireless internet complete the promise of a pleasant stay here. And for those times when you’re just a little bored, don’t worry because they also have JSTV (Japanese Satellite TV), which is somewhat rare in Paris. They don’t really have any Single rooms, but you can certainly use a Double room as a Single. Of course, they'll change the cost to that of a Single. And since you can slowly enjoy breakfast until noon, the service will make any travelers with jet-lag happy.

The Hotel Paris Louvre Opera opened in 2005, so it’s still a brand new hotel. Sitting right in the center of Opera Avenue, and less than a one minute walk from the Pyramid Metro station, one of its charms is the extremely convenient location. Opera Garnier, the Louvre, and Vandome Plaza are all a short walk away. It’s also pretty convenient that the Monoprix supermarket and the Paul bakery are very near to Pyramid station. Just a short distance from the hotel is Rue Sainte-Anne. This street is often called "Japan Street" because of its many Japanese food shops selling osozai and bentos, whose eaves all run one into the next. You’ll often see Japanese people here, and since it’s safe even at night this is an area where you can stay with total peace of mind. And a bus stop for the shuttle bus to Galeries Lafayette and the Roissy Bus to Charles de Gaulle International Airport is less than 5 minutes away on foot.
From Pyramid station you can take Line 7 on the Metro straight to Galeries Lafayette, the Louvre, Chatelet, and the Quartier Latin. It also connects to Line 14, which runs automatically and stops at Saint Lazare, Madeleine, Chatelet, and Gare de Lyon stations, so it won't be affected by the strike.
The hotel has a modern, chic interior done with a basis of beige, brown, and purple. The guest rooms, in addition to air-conditioning and a mini-bar, even feature Japanese satellite broadcasting's JSTV. All twenty rooms are furnished with a bathtub, so any Japanese guests will be pleased. And since they serve a complete, buffet-style breakfast you'll even be able to have a nice time first thing in the morning.
